City Wide Fall Pickup
Begins: 10/15/2025 - 6:00 a.m.
Ends: 10/15/2025 - 5:00 p.m.
City of Heron Lake - Large Item Pick Up Day is scheduled for
Wednesday, October 15th, 2025. Stickers must be purchased before October 15th at City Hall.
The list below is not inclusive, and prices are subject to change.
A $35 sticker is needed for televisions and computers.
A $25 sticker is needed for appliances, electronics, push lawn
mowers, and dehumidifiers, excluding televisions and computers.
A $10 sticker is needed for small printers and grills.
A $30 sticker is needed for car tires.
A $35 sticker is needed for truck tires.
A $40 sticker is needed for tractor tires.
Households that put out more than two yards will be responsible for paying the overage at $25 per yard.
If you purchased a sticker and did not use it, you may return it for a full refund.

Batteries
Paint thinner
Tree branches
Hazardous material
Regular garbage
Bricks
Gas
Stain
Grass
Blocks
Oils
Shingles
Leaves
Toxic waste
Metal is accepted, but please keep it in a separate pile.

The Annual Heron Lake Fall Craft and Vendor Fair features many different vendors to meet all your holiday shopping needs. Lunch is available for purchase. If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact us. Proceeds benefit Blue Heron Days activities 2026.
