Utility Billing Software Update

The City of Heron Lake would like to inform all the residents that we recently implemented an update to our utility billing software. As a result, utility bills may look different than in previous months.
Please note, that due to ongoing staff training with the new software, this month's billing for some residents may not be accurate. We encourage residents to contact City Hall to review and confirm their bill if you have any questions or concerns.
If a payments has already been made and an overpayment is identified, any extra amount will be applied as a credit to next months billing cycle. Any residents that have their utility bill automatically withdrawn from thier bank account might have recieved a physical bill, but will still have the payment withdrawn as normal.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete training and work to ensure accurate billing moving forward.
